The Weekly Top 3 (4.25.2022)
Why SB199 is substantially flawed, what's the #akleg session endgame beginning to look like as we enter the last 3 weeks & why ANS $$oil is beginning to outpace even Brent
Welcome to The Weekly Top 3 — our look at the top 3 things on our mind here at Alaskans for Sustainable Budgets — for the week of April 25, 2022.
The Weekly Top 3 is a regular weekly segment on The Michael Dukes Show. The Show broadcasts on Facebook and YouTubeLive as well as via streaming audio from the Show’s website weekdays from 6–8am. I join Michael weekly in the first hour of Tuesday’s show, from 6:25–7am, for a discussion between the two of us about our three issues.
This week our Top 3 issues are these: 1) while some call SB199 the “cornerstone of a fiscal plan, we believe it is substantially flawed (2:05); 2) what some believe the end game of this year’s legislative session is beginning to look like as we enter the final three weeks (19:36); and 3) why ANS oil prices are beginning to elevate even over the Brent benchmark (29:27).
The segment is at the YouTube clip above. For those that prefer the audio version, it is available both on our Spotify and Soundcloud pages. For this and other complete podcasts of The Michael Dukes Show, go to the Show’s Soundcloud page here.
